| E-Glass Chopped Strand |
 |
E-glass chopped strand contains dry chopped strand and wet chopped strand. The surface of strands is coated with a silane-based size which imparts a specific application property to the product.
(1)Dry chopped stands are produced by chopping dry fiberglass strands into a certain length. They are coated with a silane-based coupling agent system and are compatible with different resin system such as PA, PET, PBT, PC, AS, ABS, UP and phenolic resins.
Dry chopped strands are designed as reinforcement for thermoplastic and thermoset resins are used in thermoplastic plastics and BMC/DMC. The product is mainly used in the automobile industry, home appliance, valus, pump housing, chemical corrosion control and sports equipment. They can also be used for reinforcing cement with the main process of pre-mixing and spraying.
(2)Wet chopped strands are produced by chopped wet fiberglass strands into a certain length. They are mainly used to produce wet-formed fiberglass mats to enhance surface strength, smoothness and chemical resistance of end products. The product has numerous applications including water-proof roofing material, GRP surface, facing material, floor covering and battery separators. |
